Follow (I am giving you today), live and increase;
enter the promise and possess
the Lord, oath to your forefathers.
Remember all the desert way, (your) God
these forty led years; humble and test and know
what was your heart, (follow) his commands.
He (manna) neither you nor yours had known to teach.
Man does not live: every bread-word (the Lord alone) comes from the mouth.
Know—clothes did not wear, feet did not swell
during these forty disciplines, so (your) God
in his ways, walking and revering.
For the Lord (your) is bringing you good—a land
(I am giving you today) streams of honey, springs of flowing:
barley vines, figs of wheat, oil trees,
pomegranate hills and olive land.
Bread will not be nothing, you will not be scarce
and rocks are iron you can dig.
Eaten and are, satisfied, praise the God-Lord (your)
for he has given you (I am giving you today) copper.
Build fine, settle, grow large your (heart) silver and gold;
increase all you have is multiplied, He led you.
But remember (wealth) his covenant never known
confirms it will go well with you.
