Seedburst

Though the smallest seed, yet it grows:
The largest of gardens becomes a tree, so that birds of the air come.
Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises, as of one.
And to your seed, Christ.

I tell you the Amen (truly, truly), unless a seed falls to the ground, it remains one.
But if it dies, multiplies thirty, sixty, a hundredfold!
He who goes out weeping, bearing precious,
returns with sheaves of joy, carrying songs.

The point is this: Sow bountifully! Reap bountifully!

And God said, “Look! I have given you every seed upon the face of the earth,
and every tree, in which is the fruit of a tree, yielding. Seed, to you it shall be food.”
The house of Israel named it manna, and it was like coriander, white,
and its taste wafers of honey.

Then God said, “Let the land sprout—
plants yielding seed according to their own, and trees
bearing fruit in their seed, according to its kind.”
God saw that it was good.
And that is what happened.

“For I am planting (seeds in peacetime) among you:
The seed shall be prosperous; the vine shall give fruit.
The ground shall increase, the heavens dew;
and I will give the remnant of this people all these things (even you).”

Plant the good seeds, love, and you will harvest a crop.
Plow up the hard heart for now is the time to seek the Lord
(Now is the time to seek the Lord!),
that he may come upon you, shower upon shower.
